Ruba's Bakery
Ruba’s Bakery is a Mexican bakery-bistro in San José’s Arts District (Morelos 8), in a 1940s casita with umbrella tables on a papel-picado street. Michelin (inspectors’ favorite / eat like a local) says it serves all day: coffee and a case of conchas, croissants and donuts, plus charcuterie, salads, sandwiches and wood-fired pizza. Brunch chilaquiles (Fri–Sun only) come with roasted lamb and Valle de Guadalupe-style consommé. Selected 2026 — not a star.
