Why We Built This

Search for things to do in Cabo and you’ll find plenty of websites. But most of them are trying to sell you something: an ATV ride, a fishing charter, a timeshare, or a vacation rental.

There’s nothing wrong with that. But it’s not the same as knowing what’s actually happening in Cabo.

I’ve called Cabo home for more than ten years, and one thing has always stood out to me: there is constantly something going on here, yet it can be surprisingly difficult to find out about it.

Festivals. Fundraisers. Live music. Family events. Pop-ups. Food events. Community gatherings. New restaurants. Local favorites. Things happening this weekend that you sometimes don’t hear about until Monday, when you’re scrolling through someone else’s pictures.

That’s why we built WhatUp Cabo.

We wanted one place where locals and visitors could find out what’s happening, discover where the best food actually is, learn about events worth planning around, and uncover the places and experiences that don’t always make it into a tourist guide.

Because Cabo is more than resorts and excursions.

It’s the restaurant tucked away on a side street that locals swear by. The neighborhood event that brings everyone together. The charity fundraiser that deserves a packed house. The organizer who spent months creating something special. The small business doing something great that more people should know about.

And when more people know what’s happening, more people show up.

That matters.

A charity raises more money. A restaurant gets discovered. A local business gains a new customer. An event has a great turnout and comes back the following year bigger and better.
