Playa del Muelle / Plaza El Pescador
The Tortugas Fishing Girls tournament is a coastal sportfishing event created to highlight female anglers and foster a love for fishing among young girls. On Sunday, August 30, 2026, anglers hit the sand early at Playa del Muelle (next to El Tamaro) in San José del Cabo from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with scales operating continuously to weigh and record catches. Awards follow at the Plaza El Pescador Kiosk at 10:30 AM. Organized with support from FONMAR and local sportfishing associations; encourages clean, accessible shore fishing.
