The 5th Annual El Cardonal Fishing Tournament returns on August 28–29, 2026, inviting anglers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts to experience one of the most anticipated fishing events in El Cardonal, Baja California Sur. Held at Playa El Atracadero, the tournament combines the excitement of offshore sport fishing with a community-oriented shoreline competition, creating an unforgettable weekend that celebrates the region's deep connection to the sea. Participants will compete for an impressive $17,158 dollars prize pool, with major awards for outstanding catches, including marlin and tuna categories, as well as additional jackpots for various fish species. The event features both an offshore fishing tournament for experienced anglers and a shore fishing "Catch and Release" competition, providing opportunities for competitors of different ages and skill levels. The shoreline event includes children's and adult categories, encouraging families to take part in the festivities and enjoy the sport together.
